In 1943, a farm boy from Charlotte, North Carolina married a Montreat, North Carolina resident named Ruth Bell, and the journey began. Before anyone had heard of Billy Graham, one thing was sure, he felt the calling of God upon his life.

As Billy set out for what would become a 60-year long journey of becoming the world's most influential pastor, it is seldom discussed how his calling began and what his early days of seeking the Lord looked like.

LEGACY

“An architect draws the plans for a new building—but it still has to be built. A composer writes a new piece of music—but it still has to be played. A chef devises a new recipe—but the ingredients still have to be cooked. In the same way, God has given us a blueprint for living—but we must know what it is and then put it into action.”
